The Impossible Dream was a Poisongirls magazine edited by Lance d'Boyle, and published by XNTRIX records, sold at gigs and by mail order.

The magazine featured photomontage, Poisongirls lyrics and writing from other artists incuding Janet Dube, Andrea Dworkin and William Burroughs. Focusing on issues of militarism, sexual politics and the degeneration of capitalist culture and politics.

Four issues were produced at intervals between 1980 and 1986. The first in A4 format (to be displayed shortly), the others in A3.

Lance has plans to publish a selection of photomontages from the Dream plus other unpublished work from the 90's and early 2000's.
